A graduate of New York’s prestigious Stuyvesant High School, Dr. Allmen earned her bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Emily Schryer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development at California State University Long Beach. Her research explores psychological, social and cultural processes involved in maintaining happiness and well-being across the adult life course.
