Jimmie Holland, MD, is a psychiatrist and the founder of the field of Psycho-oncology. She is Wayne E. Chapman Chair in Psychiatric Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Professor of Psychiatry at Cornell University’s Weill Medical College. Dr. Holland has published hundreds of academic papers and many books about helping cancer survivors cope. She now focuses on the needs of older adults at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where she started the Geriatric Psychiatry Group.
Mindy Greenstein, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist, Psycho-Oncologist, and author of the critically acclaimed memoir, The House on Crash Corner (and Other Unavoidable Calamities). She focuses on the issues of aging and cancer, and serves as Consultant to the Geriatric Psychiatry Group in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In addition to her academic papers, Dr. Greenstein has published personal essays in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, SELF, and elsewhere.
