Airs Wednesday, March 2, 2016
During this week’s radio show you will learn about:
Ruth McHaney Danner is a longtime quilter living in Spokane, Washington. She’s a member of the Washington State Quilters Spokane Chapter, as well as smaller quilt groups and online groups. Her first book, What I Learned from God While Quilting, was published in 2000 and reprinted in 2003. It’s now available as an e-book. Her new offering, Making a World of Difference, One Quilt at a Time, was published in November 2015 in both print and electronic formats. Each chapter presents a person or group who uses quilting skills to benefit others. The author believes strongly in donating quilts to charities and fund-raisers, and she’s done so herself for many years. Learn more about Ruth here.
Barb Webb is a sustainable living expert nesting in Appalachian Kentucky. When she’s not chasing chickens around the farm or engaging in mock Jedi battles, she’s writing about country living and artisan culture. Born under the earth sign, Taurus, she arrived in the world ready to start nurturing, digging and planting! She believes Irish cuisine is seriously undervalued and that if we simply open our minds and hearts to listen, the universe is an excellent guide. Award-winning author of “Getting Laid: Everything You Need to Know About Raising Chickens, Gardening and Preserving,” Barb Webb is also the Owner/Editor of the popular blogs RuralMom.com and SustainableChick.com. Her husband, three children, new grandchild and all the chickens in the coop indulge her quirks, love of all things green and desire to help others.
