Fitness programs, diet fads and meal plans come and go, but the tried and true, age-old, movement and eating patterns of our ancestors have kept humans healthy for generations. The relatively new fitness industry was designed to guide people to better eating habits and lifestyle management, but where did it go wrong? Has it become so market-driven that it fails to follow health science and instead leads with looks?
Host, Lisa Kamen speaks with two health professionals who recommend we get back to basics. Dr. Mark Mattson infers that intermittent fasting can affect our physical as well as our mental health and Gillian Goerzen hopes to redefine fitness goals to include a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
