Q&A WITH LISA CYPERS KAMEN
What was a challenge you faced while developing your company?
I went through a very difficult period during the recession of 2008-09. I experienced a loss of financial and social resources as a result of the economic downturn and divorce. Since I was left functionally homeless with two young children and out of the workforce for 12 years, I put my Master’s degree in spiritual psychology to work. It wasn’t easy legitimizing happiness as a worthy reward for self-mastery and conscious living. I had to prove that happiness is not frivolous, narcissistic, or egotistical. It is the natural by-product of a satisfying life.
How did this challenge or discovery change you?
Necessity is the mother of invention. I started walking my talk to prove that Post-Traumatic Growth is the gift that cannot be bought!
